"Who said that?!"
"Please, Comet, you must be quiet or else he'll hear you." Comet looked around the room in shock, the voice sounded like it was coming from all directions at once. They paused however, as soon as their eyes landed on the brush on the table.
There was a feeling of pure energy radiating off of it that was impossible to ignore, they couldn't look away from it now, staring deeply into the green crystal embedded in the handle as they picked it up.
"Apologies for the sudden surprise, however I'm sure you understand there's no easy way to make myself known in this... Form. Please do not speak out loud, I can tell your mouth is open to do so yet I urge you not to."
"Capax does not know I am alive, or at the very least he is unaware that I am still capable of thinking and speaking. I used to be Deghrtz Tsarh, the Deity of Life, we met before when you played the game, remember?"
Comet was dumbfounded, now completely at a loss for words. Yet they nodded anyway.
"Ah, I'm glad you still remember. Capax seems to have... Betrayed us both, in a way. My arboreal body was destroyed, in a way 'killing' me. My wood was mostly trashed, only a small portion was needed to make the wand you currently hold. The waste of my own body disgusts me..."
Comet frowned at this.
"But it is okay, through the gemstone I remain immortal, even shrunken down to the size it is now. Do not pity me, we both are in dire situations, Comet."
"I know you want to escape, but I do not believe that is a possibility at this moment... This is the only option, you need to go along with him until we both figure out more about the situation at hand. Perhaps then we can both find a way to return to normalcy...
Comet finally was able to look away from the brush. They stared off towards the bell near the staircase.
As soon as it rang Capax appeared, as if he had never actually left.
"Ah, my dear Comet. Have you finally made a decision?"
"I... I have, yes sir. I want to be your student and learn more about your art magic."
"How wonderful. I always knew a smart kid like you would jump at the oppurtunity. I'm so happy you didn't prove me wrong."
